Jonathan McGowan appointed to The Florida Bar Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee

Jacksonville, Florida –  The McGowan Law Firm is pleased to announce that Jonathan McGowan has been appointed by incoming Florida Bar President Gary S. Lesser to a one-year appointment to the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee. Per The Florida Bar website:

“The mission of the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee is to:

• Promote professionalism among lawyer-lobbyists;
• Provide appropriate and applicable legal education on matters of interest to (and tailored especially for) lawyer-lobbyists;
• Provide mentoring and networking opportunities that are not available elsewhere;
• Provide an opportunity for lawyer-lobbyists to stay abreast of and collectively be heard by Florida Bar leadership on various Bar proposals (including proposed rules and ethics opinions) that may affect them.”

McGowan’s term will be for the 2022-2023 fiscal year of The Florida Bar, beginning June 2022.
